How to set up an Office365 shared mailbox on an iPhone or iPad POP instructions
Step 1 – Tap ‘Settings’ then ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ then ‘Add Account’.
Step 2 – Tap ‘Other’ at the bottom of the list.
Step 3 – Tap ‘Add Mail Account’.
Step 4 – Enter the name of the shared mailbox, the email address of the shared mailbox, your email password, a description for the account & then tap ‘next’.
Step 5 – Tap ‘POP’ at the top of the new account screen. Enter the incoming mail server host name as ‘outlook.office365.com‘. Enter your email address followed by a backslash & then the shared email address in the username field. Example-
user@example.com\info@example.com
Enter the outgoing mail server host name as ‘smtp.office365.com’.
Step 6 – Tap ‘Save’ in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Once ‘Verifying’ has finished you should get the following error-
Tap ‘OK’.
Tap ‘Save’ again in the top right-hand corner of the screen & then at the bottom of the screen.
Step 7 – Tap the account you have setup, scroll down & tap ‘Advanced’.
Step 8 – Change the ‘Server Port’ to 995, enable ‘Use SSL’ then tap ‘back’, then ‘done’.
